In box 2 of Form 1095-A there are two numbers separated by a hyphen. I am unable to enter this many digits into that box in my software. Do you think I should enter the first or the second set of numbers?

It says "characters", so I would keep the hyphen.
That was my guess but I hate guessing in this biz.

Lines 30 through 33, column (a).
Enter the Marketplace-assigned policy number from Form 1095-A, line 2. If the policy number of the Form 1095-A is more than 15 characters, enter only the last 15 characters.
